Sedum takesimense Atlantis PP 27454
Sedum ‘Atlantis’ is a superbly beautiful form of the little-known clumping rock garden sized sedum from the volcanic island of Ulleungdo, off the Korean coast. We have Hortech’s Dave MacKenzie to thank for finding this stunning sport that forms a 6″ tall x 10″ wide specimen, comprised of green rosettes, with each leaf edged in creamy white. In mid-summer the clumps are topped with clusters of small yellow flowers held just above the foliage. While Sedum takesimense ‘Atlantis’ will grow in full sun in colder climates, it’s best in only morning sun or open shade in hotter summer climates. Sedum takesimense is also not a desert plant, so while good drainage is important, so is adequate moisture.
