Sarracenia rehderi
Sarracenia x rehderi is a naturally occurring pitcher plant hybrid from North Carolina, that combines the best attributes of both parents (Sarracenia rubra x Sarracenia minor). Sarracenia x rehderi was discovered by, and eventually named in honor of Wilmington NC pitcher plant lover, Henry B. Rehder, Sr. Each extremely vigorous, but compact, clump is composed of 14″ upright red-blushed pitchers that are produced throughout the growing season. In May and often into June, the very floriferous clumps produce 14″ tall alien-like, sweetly-fragrant flowers in the sunset color range.
