Miscanthus sinensis Rigoletto
Miscanthus ‘Rigoletto’ is a superb maiden grass selection discovered at Bluemel Nursery in Maryland. In height, Miscanthus ‘Rigoletto’ tops out for us at 3′ and doesn’t have the middle-age spread problem of Miscanthus sinensis ‘Variegatus’. With foliage that is slightly narrower and with strong, creamy white-and-green vertical variegation, Miscanthus ‘Rigoletto’ makes a perfect specimen. In 25 years of growing this clone, we have yet to see a single garden seedling.
