Helleborus odorus
This is renowned as one of the best of the green/yellow flowered hellebore species. The large green to yellow flowers (each seedling is different) are held outward making them easier to enjoy without too much crouching. The lightly fragrant flowers and new foliage push through the ground together in early spring past the remnants of the old foliage. Limited quantities are available of this collector’s item… alkaline soils are preferable.
