Helleborus nigercors Ashwood Strain
This is one of the rarest of the lenten roses, usually only available in tiny quantities when visiting European breeders. Helleborus x nigercors is a sterile (no seed) hybrid between Helleborus niger and Helleborus argutifolius. The result is a vigorous easy-to-grow plant that combines the best characteristics of both parents…sturdy dark green foliage highlighted with silver vein markings. The floriferous 1′ tall stalks of large flat flowers are intermediate between both parents as well. A special thanks to Ashwood Nursery of England for allowing us to offer these beauties.
