Eucomis Mini Tuft Bright Pink
Eucomis ‘Mini Tuft Bright Pink’ is another in the line of dwarf pineapple lilies from New Zealand’s Ian Duncalfe, developed by crossing Eucomis vandermerwei and Eucomis zambesiaca. The compact dusty purple foliage makes a 10″ tall x 15″ wide clump topped, starting in late June (NC), with 10″ tall spikes of lovely pink-lavender flowers. Although Mini Tuft was intended to be the trademark name of the series, each clone was not given a proper cultivar name according to the International Nomenclature Code, so we made the trade name part of the cultivar to make the name valid.
