Epimedium Spritzer
This 2002 fairy wings introduction from epimedium breeder Darrell Probst is one of the most unique and attention-getting specimens in our woodland garden. Epimedium ‘Spritzer’ makes an 18″ tall x 30″ wide, deer-resistant, evergreen clump of long, pointed leaves that are heavily speckled with purple in spring. The giant, arching, 28″ long flower spikes are adorned with an abundance of large yellow flowers highlighted by rosy pink sepals. Epimedium ‘Spritzer’ starts flowering for us in early April (NC) and, due to its Epimedium membranaceum parentage, continues to flower into the summer.
