Echinacea Sunset PP 16424
This new coneflower from Richard Saul of Itsaul Plants combines the best of E. purpurea and E. paradoxa into a selection that is topped, starting in June, with large 4.5 – 5″ wide fragrant heads of bright orange, fragrant blooms on 30″ stems. The lush basal rosette of wide green foliage and dark flower stems serve as a nice foil to the prolific flower display…thanks to an abundance of side-flower buds. In cool climates, the flowers may have a unique lavender cast as they age.
