Crinum Super Ellen
You’ve never seen anything quite like Crinum ‘Super Ellen’…obviously a steroid-induced plant if I’ve ever seen one. This Tom Perry cross of Crinum ‘Ellen Bosanquet’ x Crinum bulbispermum produces massive, glossy, green leaves that can reach 7′ long, topped with sturdy 6′ tall spikes that are loaded with up to 15 large, outfacing, cherry-red flowers starting in early June and continuing through the summer months. It may take a couple of years for your new bulb of Crinum ‘Super Ellen’ to become mature enough to produce its monstrous proportions, but the wait is well worth it.
