Crinum Persephone
Crinum ‘Persephone’ is a new Jay Yourch crinum lily hybrid…a cross of Crinum ‘Ellen Bosanquet’ and Crinum x powellii ‘Album’. The result is a terrific new crinum lily with 3′ long, glossy green foliage topped, starting for us in mid-July, with 3.5′ tall spikes bearing terminal clusters of 11-13 large, rosy pink, outfacing flowers, each with a small white eye zone. Crinum ‘Persephone’ is a fast-offsetting crinum, so they’ll be plenty to share with friends, or if you’re really demented…start your own crinum nursery.
