Crinum digweedii Mahon
Crinum x digweedii ‘Mahon’ is a found crinum from PDN customer, John Mahon, of South Carolina. Crinum ‘Mahon’ is a cross of Crinum scabrum x Crinum americanum that in our trials closely resembles Crinum ‘Bolivia’. The 3′ wide x 3′ tall clump is topped with 30″ tall spikes of 6-8 large 6″ wide, fragrant flowers that open white with central red stripes down the middle of each petal. For us, flowering starts in mid-August and continues until a hard frost. Crinum ‘Mahon’ is a very fast offsetting clone.
