Athyrium Ursulas Dwarf
Athyrium ‘Ursula’s Dwarf’ comes from South Carolina plantswoman, Ursula Syre-Herz, who discovered this dwarf hybrid of Japanese painted fern and Southern lady fern in her Myrtle Beach garden. We first saw it growing in Hans Hansen’s former Minnesota garden and were so impressed that we put it into production. Athyrium ‘Ursula’s Dwarf’ makes a tight 22″ tall x 22″ wide clump of narrow, very upright silvery fronds, contrasted nicely by the dark purple stipe.
