Aspidistra sp China Moon
(Aka: Aspidistra sp. QCS IIM-4) Aspidistra ‘China Moon’ is a 1999 Plant Delights cast iron plant introduction from Dr. Jim Waddick’s wild collections from the Qing Cheng San mountains of Sichuan in 1985. The leaves of Aspidistra ‘China Moon’ reach 16″ long x 3″ wide with half of the leaf length being a thin, but rigid petiole. Each leaf is speckled with pale yellow spotting. Each clump will make a wonderful accent in the woodland garden. This is either a form of Aspidistra typica or a similar-looking new species.
