Agave potatorum Bluewinds
(aka: Agave ‘Eye Scream’) Agave ‘Bluewinds’ is sheer perfection. We picked up this un-named variegated sport of Agave potatorum from a grower in Thailand in 2008, only to find out later that is was named Agave ‘Bluewinds’. For us, it has formed a stunning 8″ tall x 18″ wide symmetrical clump that makes visitors go gaga (no relation to the Lady). Each clump of Agave potatorum ‘Bluewinds’ is composed of 6″ long x 3″ wide blue leaves, each edged with a wide border of creamy gold. Agave potatorum ‘Bluewinds’ grows to about half the size of the similarly colored Agave potatorum ‘Snowfall’.
