Agave bracteosa Squidget
(aka: Paleoagave bracteosa) We picked up this dwarf seed-grown Agave bracteosa in 2004 from California’s Rancho Soledad Nursery, and christened it Agave ‘Squidget’. Since that time, it’s formed a 6″ tall x 15″ wide, offsetting rosette in our rock garden…much smaller than the typical 4′ wide rosettes of Agave bracteosa. As with all Agave bracteosa, spines are not optional on this species, so you’ll have to make do with the scabrous (rough) green evergreen leaves.
