Iris louisiana Geisha Eyes
Iris x louisiana ‘Geisha Eyes’ is a favorite Louisiana iris selection with 30″ tall flowering stalks in early May, topped with a parade of large, blue-lavender, 6-fall flowers, each highlighted with a dramatic reticulated yellow eye. Now, I can’t personally attest that the flower actually resembles a geisha’s eyes, since I’ve never indulged (that I’ll admit to), but, regardless, this is one dolled-up iris flower. As is the case with all Louisiana iris, they can be grown in shallow water or in any average moisture garden soil.
